About Me

I have always had a passion for helping others and creative expression. Teaching elementary music allowed me to blend both in exciting, engaging ways.

As Carl Orff advised, "Experience first, then intellectualize." Making learning hands-on and fun for all students is so rewarding to me. Inspired by Orff's belief in experiential learning, I strive to make complex topics relatable through activities that speak to different learning styles.

Now I'm excited to bring my learner-focused approach to new training opportunities. I want to find opportunities to take material and infuse it with the kinds of engaging experiences and interactivity I fostered in the classroom. The core traits that make my teaching effective can definitely be applied to adult learning situations too.

Outside of work, you can find me expanding my own knowledge through photography, music, cooking, reading, and travel. I consider myself a lifelong learner, constantly seeking new experiences that fuel my innovation as an educator. Most of all, I thrive on helping others achieve their goals. I love seeing people improve at things they care about, whether it's through my materials or environments I create.

My aim is to forge connections through accessible and engaging resources. I readily accept feedback to constantly improve. But most importantly, I hope to inspire the same joy and curiosity in learners that I bring to teaching every day.

“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember.

Involve me and I learn.”

— Benjamin Franklin
